Just got off the phone with Noodle Bar after getting our take out. Just want to say how incredible this place is top to bottom. Service is always great, the food is made with love and hot hot for pickup. So appreciate the staff there. I will add photos later, but the dishes cannot be beat, especially today when everything is so expensive! We just got food from here on Friday and we're back again today. We will both take servings from both main dishes (lemongrass beef chow fun and vegetable chow mein) and it won't look like it's even touched. Still overflowing. And we can eat. Their fried shrimp is always on our order, and their egg rolls are fantastic. So appreciate noodle bar! Thank you, Keary & Jon

It wasn't quick, but it was delicious. 5 spice dry noodle was excellent and crave able. Careful though...the chili oil was hotter than I am used to.

G-DAMN! The portions here are huge it'll be difficult to eat a normal sized plate in one sitting! Not only that but the flavor is phenomenal and so are the house chili sauce and oil. It gives hole in the wall which means the service is what it is but they were really nice. There's no sitting area there so it's to go only which doesn't matter since it's near the freeway or beach if you want to go find a spot. Definitely coming back multiple times!!

Flavorful food. We ordered take out 45 minutes before they closed. Our food was made fresh and we had no issues with any of the food. We ordered chow fun, beef and broccoli, udon noodles, 5 spice chicken wings and shrimp spring rolls. All for $59. We are definitely going to bed with full bellies. we still had leftovers. Great price for the portion.

This hole in the wall was a quick grab and go. $30 total for a large lemongrass chili beef vermicelli and a large five spices chicken vermicelli. These to go boxes were filled to the top, and it fed our party really well. Such big value!! Next time when I'm in the area and feeling broke and hungry, I'll be back to get some more. Cash and to-go only. Make sure the lady gives you enough forks lol. The chili oil is delicious.

Good atmosphere, fast-paced but comfortable. The Seafood Soup was good, not a lot of vegetables in there but the large is a good portion to keep you full for a while. The Lemongrass Beef is okay, the beef barely tastes like lemongrass and the noodles were a little overcooked, barely any bean sprouts, but the lettuce was good and fresh, good sauce and they use cilantro to garnish. The service was good, friendly, polite and efficient. Would come here again to try something different.

One of my favorite meals especially for the price on my Monterey/Carmel trip so far. Loved the dry noodle dishes with five spice chicken and the bbq pork/egg roll. Generous portions--lots of meat. Everything so tasty. One downside/reminder to all--no sit-down here, to-go only.

Might look like a hole in the wall place but more like a diamond in the ruff. This place is order to go cuz no seating but damn so good. We ordered the BBQ 5 spice chicken and lemon grass combo with egg roll combo on the side. 5 spice chicken is sooo good we normally get one order of this each time we go. Definitely type of place we want to try everything on the menu but 5 Spice chicken always calls and doesn't disappoint. Didn't think I would like the lemon grass chicken but wanted to try something new and dang. Definitely proved me wrong. The egg roll combo came with chicken and shrimp. The shrimp egg roll was really good with nice size shrimp.

Noodle Bar is a physically small location and has take out only. We asked the owner and they used to have stools to sit on to eat at the store, but COVID regulations ended that. The people who run the place were very nice. They are in a long but narrow and somewhat busy strip mall with adequate parking. We got the curry chicken fried rice and chicken spring rolls. The curry chicken is made with thin sliced white/breast meat and marinated in brown style curry that is probably Vietnamese, but is similar to the Chinese kind. It is NOT the wet kind of curry and is NOT the yellow curry or the peanut/coconut curry. It comes with fried rice, but you can substitute a noodle at an additional charge. The fried rice had a good flavor, but was not fried through completely and there were chunks of white unfried rice in it. Despite the improper frying of the rice, we thought the flavor of the chicken and portion size were very good and we enjoyed the dish. The chicken spring rolls come in the Vietnamese style rice paper steamed wrapper NOT the fried Chinese flour wrapper. There is a light thin peanut sauce that comes with it, NOT the thick Thai style kind, and it is a little not overly sweet. Both dishes seemed more Americanized, but we enjoyed them as prepared. We ate in our car, but there were some sketchy homeless looking people milling around the lot and so we would recommend taking your food back to your house or hotel room. One man seemed like he was going to come up to our car window and tap on it to pan handle us, but fortunately he did not. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would recommend giving them a try.
